Il Sentiero degli Dei - the Path of the Gods. A 7km clifftop trail 630m above the sea, connecting Bomerano to Nocelle above Positano. Early morning avoids crowds and catches sunrise over the mountains. End with 1,700 steps down to Positano and a well-earned glass of wine.

The 13th-century villa whose gardens inspired Wagner's Parsifal magic garden scene. Summer brings the Ravello Festival - concerts on a transparent stage suspended over the cliff. The view from the Belvedere terrace is why people say Ravello is "closer to the sky than the sea."

Gore Vidal called this "the most beautiful view in the world" and spent 30 years staring at it. The Terrace of Infinity - a row of marble busts overlooking the entire Amalfi Coast - is where you understand why artists, writers, and composers came to Ravello to die.
