    Essi Avellan became Finland's first Master of Wine in 2009 — 77 years after Prohibition ended. Now her champagne list at Minne, near Esplanadi Park, is one of the finest in Europe. The world's foremost champagne authority chose Helsinki as her base, not London, not Paris.
