    Dalt Vila - Phoenician Acropolis to Renaissance Fortress

    With 2,500 years of history, Dalt Vila (High Town) began as Phoenician Ibosim in 654 BC. Enter through the 1585 Portal de ses Taules, flanked by headless Roman statues. 25-meter-high walls (5m thick) were built by order of Charles I and Philip II.
