   Stand at the Nuns' Gate

   The original entrance built by Cistercian nuns in the 12th century.

   Even without a tasting appointment, you can view the historic gate from Route des Grands Crus. The stone archway dates from the 1140s. Look for the carved cross above the entrance - it marks the boundary of the nuns' enclosure.

   Taste Inside the Monopole (Epic)

   Book a private tasting at one of the most exclusive domaines in Burgundy.

   Email visits@clos-de-tart.com at least 3 months in advance. Tastings are rare and expensive (~€200+ per person). You'll taste 2-3 vintages in the medieval cellar. The waiting list is long - try contacting a Burgundy wine tour company for group visits.

   Walk the Vineyard Wall

   The enclosing wall has stood since the 12th century.

   The vineyard wall runs along the D974 road in Morey-Saint-Denis. Walk the ~800m perimeter. Unlike Clos de Vougeot (which has 80+ owners), every vine inside this wall belongs to one domaine - a rarity in Burgundy.
