   Walk the Grand Cru Vineyards

   These 371 hectares surrounding Ambonnay village represent 100% Grand Cru perfection — the same chalk terroir that makes Burgundy legendary, but here it creates Pinot Noir bubbles instead of still reds. Park at the village church and walk east toward vineyard paths (no marked trails, just follow tractor routes between rows), touch the chalky soil, and compare the gentle south-facing slopes to nearby Bouzy's subtly different terroir with identical Grand Cru status.

   Taste Bouzy Rouge (Still Red Wine)

   "Bouzy Rouge" is still RED wine from Champagne — not sparkling, made from the same Pinot Noir, legal AOC since 1943, with only ~100,000 bottles produced yearly that most people have never heard of. Ask any grower (Egly-Ouriet, Benoît Lahaye, others): "Do you make Bouzy Rouge or Coteaux Champenois?" and expect light, delicate Pinot closer to Burgundy than anything else in Champagne (€15-25/bottle).
