Dress warm (-10°C to -20°C outside even in summer), bring sunglasses for snow glare, and exit at summit through the tunnel to the main building.

   🔄 BACKUP: If weather closes the cable car, Plan de l'Aiguille mid-station (2,317m) has a refuge with wine service - not 3,842m but still impressive.

Order a glass of Savoie Apremont or Roussette (€18-25) at Le 3842 restaurant inside the summit building and request window seating facing south. You're drinking wine grown at 400m while staring at rock and ice at 4,810m - the altitude contrast is staggering. Arrive at 11:30am restaurant opening (summer) or 12pm (winter) to claim your window spot before the lunch rush, order wine FIRST, claim position SECOND, and stay maximum 60-90 minutes to avoid altitude sickness.

   🔄 BACKUP: If Le 3842 is full, the outdoor terrace bar at 3,777m (one level down) serves wine and Champagne. Same view, 65m lower - still highest in Europe.
