   Book via jungfrau.ch at least 3 days ahead, requesting the 4pm winter slot specifically for a private gondola with fondue pot, Valais wine, and 3 complete rotations (90 minutes total). Ask for cabin at the end of the line for less wait time between rotations. Maximum 4 people per cabin.

   🔄 BACKUP: If sunset is booked, the 2pm slot still offers excellent light and smaller crowds.

   Time the Alpenglow

   On your final rotation, position yourself at the cabin window facing the Eiger. In winter, alpenglow hits the North Face around 4:30pm — the rock turns pink for 8 minutes. Watch for it. The fondue can wait. This moment cannot.

   🔄 BACKUP: If clouds block the view, focus on the wine - the experience is still magical.

3. 📜 3

   Master the Fondue Dip

   Traditional Swiss fondue etiquette during your meal in the gondola: swirl in figure-8, never double-dip, and if you drop bread you buy the next round. Ask your server about the "fork penalty" traditions — they vary by region.

   🔄 BACKUP: If you drop bread, embrace it. The penalty (usually a round of schnapps) is part of the fun.
