   Cork Club runs Thursday evenings with 8 guests max for CHF 95-150 depending on theme. Email or call Hotel GLACIER (hotel-glacier.ch, +41 33 853 10 04) at least 5 days ahead and request "Rare Valais" for indigenous grapes or "Sommelier's Choice" for surprises. Mention your preferences (white/red, dry/sweet, adventurous/classic) and Thomas will customize the evening to blow your mind.

   🔄 BACKUP: If Thursday is full, ask about private tastings - they'll sometimes arrange for 4+ guests on other nights.

   Descend to the 1700 Cellar

   This cellar has stored wine since the hotel was built in 1700 — three centuries of bottles, some still drinkable, the oldest now museum pieces. Ask Thomas to show you the historical cellar beneath the hotel before or after the tasting. Thomas loves showing it to genuinely interested guests, and you'll understand why some wines age gracefully for decades while others peak young. Bring a light — it's dark down there and full of liquid history.

   Make Friends with Strangers

   By the third bottle, strangers feel like friends around the oak table. By the end, you'll exchange numbers with 7 other wine lovers you'd never met. The Cork Club is designed for connection — ask questions, share what you're tasting, don't pretend to know more than you do. Vulnerability is the price of admission and the source of the magic that transforms a wine tasting into something deeper.
