   KK opened in 1965 - the ORIGINAL St Anton après-ski bar. Before MooserWirt, before the global phenomenon, there was this. Founder Gernot Schneider created what became the template for alpine party culture worldwide. Ski down from Galzig on blue run No. 1 to find Krazy Kanguruh just uphill from MooserWirt. Order Grüner Veltliner and raise a glass to the founders — you're toasting at the birthplace of après-ski culture.

   Mario Matt bought KK in 2009 and went on to win Olympic slalom gold at Sochi 2014 with 15 World Cup victories. Unlike distant legends, Matt is local — born in St Anton, still here, still owns this bar. Inside Krazy Kanguruh, look for the medal display and photos. Ask staff about Matt and look for his competition memorabilia. If you see a lean, athletic Austrian in his late 40s greeting regulars like friends — that might be him.

   Witness the Après-Ski Flow

   The après-ski "flow" is a St Anton phenomenon — from 3pm onwards, skiers stream down the mountain, stopping at each bar like a human river. Position yourself on KK's terrace with a drink and watch the crowd build at MooserWirt below. When KK hits peak energy (around 5pm), ski down to see how the flow continues into the village. This is alpine party migration in real time.
