   Helmut, Griabli's owner, is a rock obsessive who built an entire après-ski concept around his passion. The bar sits 30 meters from one of the Alps' most famous party venues — but you can actually hear yourself think here.

   Griabli is Helmut's life project — a mountain restaurant built around his love of rock music. The covered outdoor bar, sun terrace, and Tyrolean lounge with open fireplace feel like someone's living room. At Unterer Mooserweg 7 (on Blue Run No.1, directly next to the Krazy Kanguruh), ski down from Galzig and you'll pass Krazy Kanguruh first — Griabli is immediately adjacent. Claim a terrace spot with a direct view of the Krazy Kanguruh mayhem unfolding 30 meters away. Order a Grüner Veltliner or Zweigelt and sit with the contrast: you can watch 1,000 people losing their minds while having a completely civilized conversation over wine.

   🔄 BACKUP: If the slope is icy and you can't ski to it, take the Galzig gondola and walk down the Mooserweg path — about 10 minutes on foot from the Galzig station.

   Catch the Tuesday Band With the Former Piccadilly Musician

   Every Tuesday from January to March, Griabli's stage hosts local rock legends — including Darren Cooper, who used to be the house musician at Piccadilly, St. Anton's famous nightclub. He comes back to play punk and blues on a ski slope.

   Helmut built the Tuesday session around musicians who are genuinely good: Tony Write, Darren Cooper (formerly of Piccadilly), Jareth Tait, and rock-god Chris Lee. Darren Cooper's presence is the detail that matters: he spent years playing the nightclub that keeps St. Anton awake until 4am, and on Tuesdays he plays Griabli's fireplace room instead. Check griabli.com or call +43 5446 3673 to confirm the Tuesday session is scheduled (they run January–March, sporadically). Arrive by 3pm to secure a spot near the stage at Griabli's indoor stage — the Tyrolean lounge with open fireplace.

   🔄 BACKUP: If it's not Tuesday or the session is cancelled, Griabli has live music Monday and Wednesday as well — different format but still rock. Any day is better than being at Mooserwirt if you actually like music.

   Taste Austrian Mountain Food by the Open Fireplace

   Griabli's kitchen is Tyrolean home cooking — Kasnocker’l, Tiroler Gröstl, and mountain classics with the fireplace going and a rock band on stage.

   The menu is classic Tyrolean — mountain restaurant food done properly. Main courses from €9 to €28. The bar serves an "impressive selection of Austrian wines and international beverages." The free element here is the atmosphere — sitting by an actual wood-burning fire on the mountain while a rock band plays. In Griabli's Tyrolean lounge interior (the room with the open fireplace), ask for the day's wine recommendation — Griabli takes its Austrian wine selection seriously. Pair it with whatever the kitchen is running as the daily alpine special. Note: the fireplace room fills fast on cold days. Arrive before 3:30pm if you want a seat near it.

   🔄 BACKUP: If the lounge is full, the covered outdoor terrace still has heaters and the same food/wine menu. The music carries through either way.
